“This was a great experience,” said WTHS junior Angelique White, who hopes to study speech pathology in college. Every student was given 40 minutes to visit the tables, collect information and ask questions directly from our guests.” It was also a great chance to open the eyes of those students who are still undecided. Today was good for students who may already know what they would like to study or the career they would like to pursue. “We wanted to present this opportunity to all students and to hopefully inspire them about their future and the many options that they have. “We wanted to move this event to the school day so that students who may not be able to attend an evening college fair, or may not have transportation to do so, could access this information,” Hull said. Career representatives attended from military branches, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and National Guard, as well as from the Washington Township police, fire and emergency medical departments, Jefferson Health, Pennco Tech and the Philadelphia Stagehands Union, among others. Representatives from colleges and universities from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Delaware were joined by school reps from along from Eastern Seaboard – the University of Maine to the University of Tampa- to schools as far west as University of Alabama and Tennessee. That was the goal of Washington Township High School counselor Abby Hull who worked tirelessly with her colleagues to attract and organize some 87 colleges and university representatives, as well as several dozen career representatives, during the school day on March 30, 2023, providing an opportunity for students in all grade levels to weigh their options, gather materials and ask questions during the school’s annual College and Career Fair. WTHS junior and school counselor Abby Hull came together at the school’s College and Career Fair on March 30 th.Īccessibility.
